Zenfolio | Curtis A. Smith Photography | Texas Courthouses - Hill Country Edition 1
The Texas Hill Country is very scenic and growing in population rapidly. Driving through this region brings new vistas.

In my estimation, there are 28 counties in this area of Texas. If you reviewed a map, the southern and western boundary is Interstate 10, the eastern boundary is Highway 6 running south to north, with the northern boundary is Highway 190 running west to east.

This collection of country courthouses is about half of the region. Several are listed as National Register Properties. Most are constructed of the limestone and granite found in this region.

When I set my goal to capture all 254 courthouses in Texas, the first area to have my attention was the Hill Country. In fact, La Grange (Fayette County) was the first courthouse in 2013. The latest during 2016 include Lampasas and Burnet.

Thank you for viewing, and as always, let me know your favorite image and leave a guestbook comment.
